Mory Barak

Co-CEO / Co-Founder

Mory Barak is Co-CEO of Lion Real Estate Group, which he co-founded with Jeff Weller in 2007. With 25 years of experience in real estate investment, Mory plays a central role in sourcing acquisitions, executing dispositions, and structuring the capital behind each investment. He also oversees the firm's investment portfolio and internal operations. Under his leadership, Lion has completed $2.8 billion in transaction volume and acquired more than 15,000 units since inception.

Mory's career is rooted in institutional real estate investing. He began at Lazard Frères Real Estate Investors, the real estate opportunity fund of Lazard Frères, and later joined the principal investments group at Buchanan Street Partners, where he helped originate, structure, and close investments for the firm's discretionary opportunity funds. He also served as Co-Chief Executive Officer of EPMI and Bayside Communities, a West Coast platform that owns 3,097 units and manages an additional 3,500.

Mory serves as the Executive Board Member of Barker Pacific Group and is a graduate of New York University's Stern School of Business.
